Services

Sundays are a great day to do something different – something you don’t usually do every other day of the week. Many people choose to spend an hour or so of their Sundays coming and joining the community at Christ Church, Chester to meet together and worship God.

Most Sundays we have the following services, each service time has a different service style so feel free to try them and chose the style that best helps you worship God and be part of our church community.

9:30am Reflective Service

We begin Sunday with a reflective service, in a traditional style. The music is typically led from our organ. We share communion together every Sunday except the 3rd Sunday of the month where we have ‘morning prayer’ (a service without communion).

11.00am Contemporary Service

People arrive at 11am to join those who have been to the 9:30 service for tea and coffee. The service begins a few minutes after 11am, or whenever people have had enough to eat and drink! The music is typically led by a worship team, and during term time we have groups for children to join as well. We share communion together on the 3rd Sunday of each month.IMG_0090

Worship @7pm

Our evening service returns once again this term for 4 Sundays starting on the 29th April and concluding with a final service on the 20th May. The evening service starts at 7.00pm running till 8.30pm providing a more informal time of worship and sermon based on the theme for that Sunday.

Bring and Share Lunch

On the 1st Sunday of the month, after the 11am service, we have a ‘bring and share’ lunch. Feel free to bring along your favourite cold dish (savoury or sweet) and come join us!
