Church Children’s Work
At Christ Church Chester we think children are amazing! We believe it’s vital to offer a safe and relaxed space every Sunday where children can grow into the person God made them to be.
Our vision for children is to help them to be God-smart as well as God-connected. Jesus did not push children to the back of his ministry but saw them as a vital part of the Kingdom. We fully believe that children can have a deep relationship with God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one that can even surpass that of adults.
Lighthouse | Children’s Ministry at Christ Church ✨
Lighthouse is our Sunday group for children aged 3-10 years old. Our sessions usually involve a time of worship (including dancing and musical instruments), a chance to dig into the Bible story (whether through a video, or an interactive retelling) and then some relevant games or craft activities.
After going through a vision process recently alongside the children in our group, we’ve emerged with a new name, logo and strapline for our children’s ministry at Christ Church.
Lighthouse: A place to have fun with our friends and learn to shine for Jesus.

Crypt | Youth Ministry at Christ Church ✝
Crypt is our youth group for young people aged 11-18. We meet fortnightly at the Mission House for fun, fellowship, prayer and a chance to read the Bible together. We’re currently thinking together about what it means to follow Jesus in the modern world and are looking at topics including: science and faith, the climate crisis, inequality (on a local and global scale) and the impact of social media.
