Sundays

Sundays are a great day to do something different – something you don’t usually do every other day of the week. Many people choose to spend an hour or so of their Sundays coming and joining the community at Christ Church, Chester to meet together, worship God or to eat cake between our services!

Each service time has a different worship style so feel free to try them and chose a time and style the helps you be part of our church community. We occasionally have a joint  morning service around Christmas and Easter so do check the term card however, most Sundays we meet in the mornings at 9.30am and 11.00am

9:30am Reflective Service

We begin Sunday with a reflective service, in a traditional style. The music is typically led from our organ. We share communion together every Sunday except the 3rd Sunday of the month where we have ‘morning prayer’ (a service without communion).

11.00am Contemporary Service

People arrive at 11am to join those who have been to the 9:30 service for tea and coffee. The service begins a few minutes after 11am, or whenever people have had enough to eat and drink! The music is typically led by a worship team, and during term time we have groups for children to join as well. We share communion together on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

7.00pm Evening Service

Returning once again each term is our evening service ‘Worship @ 7’. The evening service is aiming to provide a service at a different time of day for those who would prefer or find it easier to come to church on a Sunday evening or for those who would like to come twice! It will be an informal worship based service with a personal reflection following our morning service theme for the day. Dates for Spring Term 2020:

Bring and Share Lunch

On the 1st Sunday of the month, after the 11am service, we have a ‘bring and share’ lunch. Feel free to bring along your favourite cold dish (savoury or sweet) and come join us!
