Christ Church is linked to the Anglican Diocese of Aru and Boga in North East DR Congo as part of the Chester Diocese Link. As part of the link we have recently started to provide a communications hub through our administrator to share prayer and news. If you would like to receive new regular Congo link update email please request it at abc@chester.anglican.org or follow us on our newly launched blog and facebook page.
We recently had the privilege of hosting Bishop Ande from Aru Diocese at our Sunday morning services while he was visiting the diocese. You can find out more about what Church is like in Aru from their web site here.
The link aims to be one church in different places, developing a world- wide understanding of the kingdom of God by:
Praying for one another regularly; Finding ways of doing things together and by learning from one another through the exchange of information and visits; Sharing problems, joy’s and opportunities and offering mutual support.
Christ Church has been involved in a number of visits to Congo and has hosted two Congolese visitors as part of the link.
